WhatsApp Wallpaper (Android)
As the name suggests quite easily, WhatsApp Wallpaper is the official WhatsApp application to add custom backgrounds in chats. It is available exclusively for Android, in iOS all the wallpapers are already included "as standard" in WhatsApp, and its operation is extremely intuitive.
To take advantage of the wallpapers included in the application, all you have to do is download WhatsApp Wallpaper from Play Store and select the wallpapers in the WhatsApp settings. If you do not know how to select funds from chat in WhatsApp, open the latter, press the button (...) located at the top right and select the item configurations in the menu that appears.
In the screen that opens, select the item first Charla and then that Background, press the icon Library of wallpapers below, choose the image you prefer the most from those available and press the button. Tax guidance on save the changes.
In case of doubt, if you want to restore the default WhatsApp wallpaper, go to the menu Settings> Chat> Wallpaper of the application and press the icon default below. If you want to download and use other wallpapers on WhatsApp, take a look at the sites and applications that I recommended in my tutorial on images for WhatsApp for free download.
GIPHY (Android / iOS / Windows Phone)
You are looking for something Animated gif to share in your WhatsApp chats? So you absolutely can't get lost GIPHY, One Best Apps dedicated to animated GIFs. Giphy is available in the main OS mobile phones (Android, iOS and Windows Phone) and allows you to search among thousands of GIFs of all kinds and then share them directly on WhatsApp. Its operation is of a disarming simplicity.
To share a GIF from GIPHY to WhatsApp, search for the GIF of your interest (using the search bar or browsing the different GIF categories available using the button ≡ located at the bottom left) and press the Whatsapp located at the bottom, in the Share menu. If you don't see the WhatsApp icon in the share menu, first press the button (...).
Now wait a few seconds, select the person or the WhatsApp group in which to share the GIF, if you want to modify the animation using the editor included in WhatsApp and confirm the sending of the GIF by pressing the corresponding button located at the bottom right.
If any of the steps are not clear to you and / or you need more information on how to send GIFs on WhatsApp, check out my tutorial dedicated to the subject.
Siftr Magic (Android)
Over time, WhatsApp can accumulate a number of cache files, especially images, which take up a lot of space in the mobile phone memory. Siftr Magic is a free application for Android that allows you to locate these files and delete them with a few simple "taps", thus freeing up space in the device's memory.
To find the images in WhatsApp cache and eventually delete them, download Siftr Magic from the Play Store, launch it and allow you to access the photos on your mobile phone by pressing the appropriate buttons ( Allow y / o Forward ). So wait for a preliminary scan of the phone to be done and press doctor icon to start the actual search for the images in the WhatsApp cache.
When the search is complete, check the list of images found by Siftr Magic, remove the check mark from those you want to keep in the mobile phone memory (if applicable), press the icon of the trash can located at the bottom right and confirm the removal of the images from the cache by replying Okay notice that appears on the screen.
As I also explained to you in my tutorial on how to install WhatsApp on tablets, if you have an Android tablet with support for the mobile phone network, you can install WhatsApp following the standard procedure performed on a smartphone. Otherwise, you would do well to rely on applications such as WhatsTablet, that is, applications that use the WhatsApp web service to "repeat" the WhatsApp application on the tablet's mobile phone.
Being based on Web WhatsApp, WhatsTablet works the same as the latter. To activate it, therefore, you must start it and frame the QR Code displayed in the center of the screen with the mobile phone camera. If you don't know how scan QR codes for WhatsApp Web, open WhatsApp on your mobile phone, press the button (...) located at the top right and select the item WhatsApp Web in the menu that appears. If you are using an iPhone and not an Android mobile phone, please press the card first configurations found in the lower right and then in the article WhatsApp Web / Desktop present on the screen that opens.
Once you have logged in, if you leave your smartphone on and connected to Internet (via Wi-Fi or data network, it's the same) you can use WhatsApp on your tablet through the WhatsApp web interface. Obviously, you will find all your contacts, messages and groups, as it is a "replay" of the application on your mobile phone.
If you need more information about how WhatsApp Web works and / or Whatsapp for pc, read my tutorial on how to use WhatsApp on PC.
IPads, even if equipped with cellular support, unfortunately do not allow easy installation of WhatsApp (if you take a look at my tutorial on how to install WhatsApp on iPad, you can better understand what I mean). So here come applications like WhatsPad, thanks to which you can use WhatsApp on iPad using WhatsApp Web, the online service that allows you to "repeat" the WhatsApp application on your smartphone in your PC browser or, as in this case, on your tablet.
WhatsPad is completely free and allows you to "repeat" the WhatsApp application installed on any mobile phone (not just iPhone). Its operation is extremely intuitive: just start it, frame the QR code displayed on the iPad screen with the mobile phone camera (by going to the menu Settings> WhatsApp Web / Desktop iPhone or menu (…)> WhatsApp Web Android) and that's it.
By keeping your mobile phone turned on and connected to the Internet (via Wi-Fi or 3G / 4G network), you can use WhatsApp from iPad to chat with your friends as you normally do on your phone. I don't think there is much more to add.
Tired of notification sounds and / or default ringtone for WhatsApp calls? No problem. If you use an Android mobile phone, you can install Zedge - an excellent free application that allows you to download ringtones, wallpapers and notification sounds completely free of charge.
Once downloaded, the ringtones can be used by calling them directly from WhatsApp settings. Truth be told, Zedge is also available on SO and Windows Phone, but due to the restrictions imposed by these two operating systems It does not give the same freedom of action as in Android and therefore it cannot be used so easily to apply new ringtones in WhatsApp. . For more information, check out my tutorial on how to set a song as a ringtone on iPhone.
When the ringtone (or notification tone) is downloaded, open WhatsApp, press the button (...) located at the top right and select the item configurations in the menu that appears. Then go up Notifications, select the sound to change (ex. Notification tone for message notifications or Ringtone for ringtone for ringtone), choose Zedge in the box that opens and select the ringtone or notification sound of your interest on the screen that appears.
In case of problems or more doubts, read my tutorial on how to change the WhatsApp ringtone in which I explain how to use custom ringtones in WhatsApp for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
