Application to recover photos. Have you mistakenly deleted some photos that were saved in your phone's gallery and you don't know what to do?

There are applications with which you can recover files that may have been deleted from the device.

In the following lines, I will tell you which are the best apps to recover photos, available for both Android as if to iOS / iPadOS. They are not difficult to use, I assure you.

The only thing you need to keep in mind is that restoring the deleted data is doable, but you should also have a bit of luck and act quickly. In fact, if the images you want to recover have been deleted too long ago, you may not have this opportunity anymore (since the memory portions that housed them may have been occupied by other data or the automatic backups in the cloud may have been removed).

Application to recover photos from Android

If you are using a phone or tablet Android, the apps to recover photos that I recommend are the following:

Google Photos / Gallery

Photos Google is the application of the homonymous Google service that has a Backup automatic of the images (and videos) present in the Gallery.

It is installed "as standard" in most of the latest Android terminals (and if not, it can be downloaded from the corresponding section of Play Store) and integrates a special section in which the photos that are deleted from the albums are stored, for a maximum period of 60 days.

So if you have deleted certain images by mistake and the recovery time has not passed yet, you can try to take a look at this Recycle Bin and see if the files you are interested in are still there, to restore them.

To do this, start Google Photos on your device by selecting the application icon (the one with some colored grinder ), then touch the button with the three horizontal lines located in the upper left corner and from the menu that appears, select the item trash.

If the deleted photos you want to recover are in the Recycle Bin, tap the button with three vertical points  located in the upper right corner, choose the option select From the menu that appears, select the images to restore and click restore.

Later, the photos will be visible again in the gallery of Google Photos.

I would like to point out that on some Android phones the same operation can also be done with the app gallery, the default tool for viewing and managing images.

In some devices, in fact, the latter integrates a function similar to that offered by Google Photos.

If you have tried to recover your photos with the Google Photos application or in the Gallery of your device, as I indicated in the previous step and you have not been able, I suggest you DiskDigger.

It is an application that allows you to recover any type of deleted file. It works with both internal memories and SD cards and you don't need the root (if you don't know what it is, read my guide on the subject, for more information), even if unlocking the device in this way helps to recuse more data.

DiskDigger is available in a free version, the one I used and which is useful for this purpose, which allows you to recover only JPG and PNG files, and in a pro version, at a cost of 3.37 euros, which also allows to intervene in other file formats.

To download the application on your device, visit the corresponding Play Store section and tap the button install. Then start by tapping the button open that appeared on the screen or by selecting the relative icon that was added to the starting screen.

Now that you see the main screen of the application, give it root permissions (if you have unlocked your device), and do not switch to the paid version (by tapping on No thanks ). Select the item related to the the memory to be scanned.

Then mark the items next to them. JPG y / o PNG and you touch the button I Accept, to begin the analysis procedure.

When finished, select the thumbnails of the photos to be recovered, press the button. recuperación located at the top and touch the symbol of a binder, to export images at any position, or at the symbol of the cloud, to save them in one of the services of cloud storage compatible.

Undeleter Recover Files & Data

Another application to recover photos on Android that I invite you to consider is Undeleter Recover Files & Daya.

It acts similar to DiskDigger, but is a bit slower in finding files. However, it is perfectly capable of fulfilling the purpose for which it is intended.

Es free, and allows you to recover only the photos. To recover documents, archives, and other types of files (which, however, I don't think you are interested in at the moment), you must switch to the paid version, through in-app purchases (at a base cost of 3.19 euros) .

Even in this case, the application works without root, but on unlocked devices it can do its best.

To download the application on your device, visit the corresponding Play Store section and tap the button install.

Then launch the application by tapping the button open that appeared on the screen or by selecting the icon that was added to the home screen.

Now that you see the main screen of Undeleter Recover Files & Data, first click the button siguiente and in Allow / Grant, to grant root permission to the app (if you have unlocked your device).

Then, touch the button siguiente and indicates if you intend to retrieve images from the memory device or SD card.

Specify the file types to restore ( JPG y PNG ) and touch the button  scanner.

Once the phone or tablet scan procedure is complete, the recoverable photos will be displayed to you as a thumbnail.

To restore the ones you are interested in, touch it, press the button with three points vertically located in the upper right and select the item Save the file from the menu that appears.

Application to recover photos from iOS

If what you use is a iPhone or iPad, I inform that, due to the restrictions imposed by Apple in its OS For mobile devices, there are no apps available to recover photos acting as IOS / iPad  to recover photos.

However, taking into account what has just been said, what you can do is appeal to the applications for the management of the Gallery that integrate Baskets, in which the deleted photos remain available for a limited period of time.

Gallery It is the default iOS / iPad application for saving, viewing and organizing photos and videos. Not everyone knows it, but it also offers a special function thanks to which it is possible to recover photos deleted for less than 30 days, collecting them from the dedicated section where they are transferred before the final deletion.

With that said, proceed as follows: open the app on your device, tap the icon having el White background and the multicolored flower what do you find in the starting screen, and select album.

Then, scroll down the screen that is now shown to you, locate the section Other albums and select Recently removed.

Then take a look at the recently deleted photos that may be present in the section in question.

If you find the images you are interested in restoring, click select At the top right, select the preview of the photos of your interest and click recover located below.

Then confirm your intentions by pressing the button Recover photos.

Later, the images will be visible again in the Gallery.

Google Photos

Google Photos, the application that I was talking about in the step at the beginning of the guide on the Android side, is also available for iOS / iPadOS and even in this case it offers a function that allows to recover deleted photos from the device within 60 days after the final elimination.

However, on the iPhone and iPad, the application is not pre-installed. In this specific case, it must first be downloaded from the corresponding section of the App Store.

Subsequently, once the application has been launched on the device, the steps to follow to recover the photos in the Recycle Bin are the same as seen together for Android, nothing changes at all.

Programs to recover photos from the computer

Given the circumstances, let me point out that you may also resort to using some Computer programs  specialized in recovering files on mobile devices, after connecting the mobile phone or tablet to PC via cable, as in the case of Dr.fone y EaseUS MobiSaver.
