How to delete copied messages on WhatsApp.  In today's guide I will provide you with all the information you need to get rid of "uncomfortable" messages by removing operating system that you are using, that is, the part of memory that contains everything that is cut or copied using the procedures offered by the PC, the phone or the tablet.

How to delete copied messages in WhatsApp on phones and tablets

You have copied a message received in a WhatsApp chat in the memory of your mobile phone to return it to a friend of yours, but now you are afraid to paste it back into the same conversation.

Don't worry, you can easily remedy this by freeing them from the device - that is, that dedicated area of the operating system where everything copied (or cut) through system functions ends up.

Next I show you how to complete this operation in Android and in iOS.

Android

If you have a device Android, the fastest way to delete copied WhatsApp messages consists of replacing the contents of the clipboard with a random sequence of numbers.

To do this, press the icon in the form of phone to open the application Phone number, tap on keyboard numerical located in the lower right (in practice, you must start manual dialing of a number).

When you are done, double tap on the numbers you just entered and from the small menu that appears on the screen, select the item Cut o Copy.

This will replace the previously copied message with the highlighted numbers. Consequently, if you used the Paste option by mistake, you will see the previously entered numbers appear on the screen and not the “offensive” chat message.

If you want, you can do the same thing using "random" text as a padding.

To do this, launch any application that allows you write something (for example, the application Messages ), enter the text input field, enter a random sequence of characters, and after double-tapping it, select the option Cut paste of the menu that appears on the screen: the result is practically identical to that seen above.

Alternatively, you can delete the message from Android clipboard using the app Delete history from the clipboard, available for free at Google Play.

Once the application is installed, all you have to do is start it.

After a few moments, the Android clipboard memory will be reset, along with the WhatsApp message copied to it and replaced by an empty space.

Finally, you should know that some versions of Android (such as those installed on different Samsung Galaxyfor example) have built-in functionality for managing and deleting notes.

To access them, start the application Messages, tap on the text input area and then perform a prolonged touch in the same.

At this point, choose the option Clipboard from the small menu proposed to see the list of the most recently copied items.

Identify the WhatsApp message of your interest, make a prolonged touch in it and press the button Eliminate to "download" it from memory.

Alternatively, you can clear the entire clipboard by tapping on a trash can placed at the top of the list.

iOS

Yes, iOS, therefore for iPhone e iPad, is very similar to what you see on Android: the simplest (and most immediate) method of getting rid of a copied WhatsApp message is to "replace" it with a random sequence of characters.

To do this, start an application that allows you to type text, for example, the application Note, retrieving it from the home screen of the device, touch, if necessary, on the button Follow and use the button at the bottom right (the one shaped like a square with pencil ) to create a new note.

At this point, write one or more letters in the text area, make a prolonged touch in the latter and select the item Copy from the list of proposed options and voila: the previously copied message will disappear from the clipboard!

Alternatively, you can clear the system clipboard using the app commands (formerly known as Workflow ) from Apple, which allows you to configure "quick actions" to perform, using native iOS procedures. If you don't have it yet, you can get the app by downloading it for free from the App Store.

Once you have obtained the application, launch it through the icon located on the home screen of the device, press the button Begins and touch the button   located in the lower right.

Once done, write the sentence Transparent clipboard In the search field at the top, tap the box of the same name displayed on the screen (marked by an icon in the form of scissors ) and touch the button Get a quick command to add it to the library immediately.

Now to add a shortcut directly to the home screen, tap the button library located at the bottom, touch the button (...) placed on the border of the icon related to the newly added action and press the button share (The square with up arrow ) placed on top.

Then tap the button again share, choose the article Add home from the proposed menu and press the button Add located in the upper right.

The game is done: from this point on, you can quickly empty the clipboard content (along with WhatsApp messages saved on it) by tapping the icon Transparent clipboard pre-created (which will also be available in the Commands app widget available in the iOS widget menu); When you are done, you can use the device again as usual.

Note - If you want, you can combine the newly created action with a Siri shortcut. To do this, start the application commands, touch the button library located at the bottom, touch the icon of the previously imported action and press the button in the form of Switches placed on top. Finally, click on the item Add to Siri and follow the onscreen instructions to Record a new voice command.
