Special functions of a Drill

  • How a magnetic drill works: It is a motorized device, whose use is focused on drilling surfaces of very resistant materials, such as objects made of steel or similar materials. On the other hand, this type of drill is considered the most versatile and comfortable to use, since it can be transported comfortably and does not use cables.


The types of drills that are present on the market can be classified by their energy source:

  • Hand drills : they are the drills that were used in ancient times and that the rotation that the aforementioned makes, has to be done by the person who is using it. They are not very efficient and are not ergonomic, but due to their low power, they can be used to make holes in soft surfaces.
  • Electric drills : these are the most used today. Since they are very comfortable to use, because they do not need to be connected to the electrical current and they have an ergonomic support, which facilitates their handling.
  • Pneumatic or hydraulic drills : these are the types of drill that take advantage of the force of air, such as that of water, to be able to successfully drill holes in a surface. Normally, this type of drill is used at an industrial level because they have specialized facilities to use these drills, which must be used under extreme caution.
