How to open ISO on Windows PC

WinCDEmu

Do you have a Windows PC and would like to understand how to open ISO? In that case, I suggest you use WinCDEmu. It is a free program that creates a virtual CD / DVD drive on your PC and allows you to open ISO as if it were a real disc inserted in the PC.

To use this program, the first thing to do is connect to the WinCDEmu website. Once the web page is displayed, click on the green button Download twice in a row to download the program to your PC.

When the download is complete, open the file WinCDEmu-xxexe which is now present on your PC and, in the window that opens, first click on the button yes, Then in installlater in install and finally in to accept to complete the setup procedure.

When installation is complete, press the start  attached to the taskbar, type WinCDEmu in the search field and then click on the first result in the list to start the program. In the window that opens, make sure there is a check mark next to Ask before mounting an image and check the box next to use UAC to mount images then click to brush  guidance on save the configuration.

Once done, to open ISO, all you have to do is right-click on the file you want to act on and select the item Select a drive and mount the image from the menu that appears. In the window that opens, select the letter to be assigned to the virtual drive to open ISO from the drop-down menu and click the button to accept.

This software allows you to create virtual drives that simulate the presence of CD, DVD and Blu-Ray on your PC. The program is also very simple to use and can be downloaded for free (a paid version is also available which includes some more advanced features).

To open ISO in Windows with daemon Tools, the first thing to do is download the program to your PC. To do this click here so that you can connect to the website of the program and then press the green button Download.

Disk utility

If you use a Mac and want to understand how to open ISO, know that to be successful in business you don't need to install third-party programs. In fact, to open ISO on Mac, it is enough to resort to the use of Disk utility, the tool available as standard in OS X through which it is possible to manage all the media connected to the PC in a simple and effective way.

To open ISO with Disk Utility, all you have to do is locate the file you want to act on and double-click the left mouse button. Once this is done, the ISO file will be mounted as an OS X virtual drive, the icon of a new drive connected to the PC will appear on the desktop, and the content of the file will be automatically displayed in a new window of the Finder.

If the window doesn't seem to show the contents of the ISO file, open the Finder pressing its icon attached to Dock and then select the unit name from the sidebar of the Finder.

Other options

In the unfortunate event that this does not happen, chances are you have changed the default system settings. To remedy this, simply restore the association of ISO files with the Mac Disk Image Mounter utility.

To do this, right-click the ISO image you want to go to and then select the item Get information attached to the menu that is displayed. In the window that opens, select diskimagemounter from the drop-down menu located below the item To open with: and click on the button first Change all and then siguiente  to save the changes. Then double-click open ISO to make sure the system mounts the image as a virtual drive.

Please note in case you can't find the item diskimagemounter in the drop-down menu to choose the program with which to open ISO to remedy, just click on the item more from the latter and select the DiskImageMounter utility by looking for it in the folder / System / Library / CoreServices / OS X.

After you can open ISO and check the contents of the image file, you can unmount it by right-clicking the drive icon attached to the desktop and choosing the item Eject drive name (instead of unit name you will find the name assigned to the unit) in the menu that is displayed.

Alternatively, you can unmount the ISO file by clicking on the drive icon attached to the desktop with the left mouse button and dragging it to the Dock next to the trash which will be automatically replaced by the icon Expel. Once the drive icon has been moved to Expel drop the file.

If Disk Utility doesn't satisfy you and is therefore looking for a valid alternative through which to open ISO on Mac, know that even in this case you can resort to the Daemon tools mentioned above. However, please note that in the case of OS X, this program is only available in a paid version. Anyway, don't worry, you can use the program for free during a 20-day trial period.

To open ISO with daemon Tools on Mac, you need to connect to the official website of the program and press the button Download green color that is placed in the center of the displayed web page.

Then wait for the software download to start and complete and then click on the file Daemontools-xx-xxx.dmg it was downloaded to your Mac and then drag the folder DAEMON tools in the folder applications attached to the new window that has opened.

Then start the program by turning on the Launchpad and pressing its icon or double-clicking on it after accessing the folder applications OS X then click I agree.

Now type the password for your user account in OS X and press it Installation wizard install on the PC all the components necessary for the operation of the software.
