How to put the smiley face in the name of Fortnite step by step

Before explaining how to put a smiley face in the name of Fortnite, I have to give you preliminary information about it.

In fact, you should know that basically the famous title of epic Games does not allow you to insert emoticons, symbols or, in general, special characters in the name of your game account, as these are not supported.

However, if you wish, you can still succeed in this attempt by using a workaround, which is to use some Japanese characters that look like emoticons aesthetically.

Having made the necessary preconditions regarding the limitations regarding the name change in Fortnite, let's see in detail how to proceed both from a PC and from a mobile phone and a tablet.

From the computer

To change the name of Fortnite acting from the computer, you must first connect to the Epic Games official website, press the button Log In located at the top and log into your account.

Once you are logged in, move the mouse cursor to your Nickname and click on the article Account located in the menu that is displayed.

At this point, acting through the section General, click on the pencil icon which is in correspondence with the wording Account Information and write the new name you want to use for your Fortnite account in the text fields called Set display name mi Confirm new display name.

Now to add the smiley face in the name, you must write un kana Japanese that, graphically, according to the writing system katakana, it looks like a smiley face (for example Tsu Tsu).

To make it easier for you to write this or other kana, I suggest you consult some places web, such as Messletters, which allows you to easily copy and paste them.

To be successful in your attempt, then connect to the website you just indicated and click on the item Symbols located in the left menu bar.

Find the kana then Tsu, select it with the mouse, then copy it by pressing the buttons Ctrl + C (The cmd + c your macOS).

At this point, go back to the web page dedicated to renaming in Fortnite and paste the kana you just copied, using the button combination Ctrl + V ( cmd + v on macOS) by following the name you entered. In case of problems, check out my tutorial where I explain how to copy and paste.

At this point, to confirm the change, check the box I am aware that I cannot change my name again during the 2 weeks following this change and press the button Confirmation.

From mobile phones and tablets

You can change your Fortnite display name from the mobile phone or tablet, acting through your Epic Games account settings.

To do so, connect to the official Epic Games website and log into your account by pressing the button Log In located at the top.

Once you are logged in, touch the name and press Account.

At this point, see the section General configuration and in the i pencil cone at Name displayed.

So start by typing the letters of the name you want to use, then to insert the smiley face, use the Messletters website that I told you about earlier, thanks to which you can copy and paste a kana Japanese that resembles a smiley face, such as Tsu.

After connecting to the website in question, click on the item Symbols located on the left sidebar, locate the kana you want to copy and copy it, hold your finger on it to highlight it and select the item Copy in the menu that opens.

Once done, go back to the Epic Games website, at the renaming screen, hold your finger on the screen, and from the menu that is shown to you, tap the item Catch, to paste the previously copied Japanese character.

Finally, to confirm the name change in Fortnite, put the check mark next to the wording I am aware that I cannot change my name again during the 2 weeks following this change and press the button Confirmation.
