How to repost a story on Instagram

Don't worry: you have to resort to a few "tricks" and third-party apps, but they all work excellently (at the time of write this tutorial).

How to repost an Instagram story you are tagged in

As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, if it is your intention repost an Instagram story that you are tagged in You should know that you can do it without resorting to strange "movements", since the photographic social network integrates an ad hoc function that allows you to do this.

To republish a story that you are tagged in, start the Instagram at their Android device or iOS, log into your account (if necessary) and press the icon cabin located on the left. Scroll, therefore, through the list of Stories at the top, open the content in which it has been tagged and touch the button Add this content to your story, located at the bottom of the screen.

In the new screen that opens, personalize the content, if necessary, through the functions integrated in Instagram (for example, touch the symbol of smiley sticker to insert stickers, press the symbol AA to add text etc) and as soon as you are ready to do so publish the story by tapping the Your history. As if by "magic", the content present in the Story in which you have been tagged will be shared in the one published on your profile. Easier than that?

How to repost a story on Instagram Android

Caution: Before republishing a Story in the manner described below, I suggest that you request permission to do so from the user who shared the content in question. To post the Story, launch the Instagram app (it should already be open), tap the little man located in the lower right, press the symbol capacitor positive (+) lead present in your profile picture (found in the upper left) and press miniature of the last saved photo (which you can find in the lower left). Would you like to republish a story in which it is not tagged acting from the Instagram application to iPhone ? Again, to do it just do one screenshots or one video capture of the content of your interest and post it to your account, or you can contact one of the many third-party applications Useful for the purpose.

If you use a iPhone and you want to republish a story by making a screenshots of the latter, you must open the content of your interest from the Instagram application and then simultaneously press the Start button and standby / activation button (At iPhone 8 / 8 Plus and earlier models) or press simultaneously right side button (on) and volume up key (+) (At iPhone X and later), in order to capture the screen. If the Story you want to republish consists of a video or in any case includes animated content or music, take a video capture of the screen by calling Control center of iOS with a swipe from bottom to top (in iPhone 8 / 8 Plus and previous models) or with a slide from the upper right corner down (above iPhone X and later) and press the button REC. Please note that apps like this are not directly developed by Instagram and therefore may pose a potential risk to your privacy. Also, based on my testing, the app cannot republish Stories created by private profiles.

That said, if you have decided to install Story Reposter, to start using the application, start it, scroll through the information sheets that illustrate its operation, press the button Search and grant permission to access your photos. Then write the name of the Instagram user who posted the story you want to republish (in the text field Enter the name of the Instagram user ) and press the blue button SEARCH.

On the screen that opens, first touch the First name of the user and then in the wording Photo posted [N] hour / minute ago. Finally press the button Republish present on the open screen, select the item Instagram in the menu that appears and give your consent to open the Instagram application.
