The operation we just saw applies to all Windows and newer versions of Internet Explorer, but if you have already switched to the new Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 and Vista and want to find out how to speed up Internet Explorer, there is another thing you can do: disable unnecessary plugins from your browser. You may not know it, but IE9 integrates a function that allows you to identify plugins that slow down Internet browsing and disable them in an instant.

To take full advantage of this new feature of Internet Explorer 9, start the program through its icon in the Windows Start menu and, in the window that opens, first click on the icon of the gear located in the upper right and in the element Add-on Management in the menu that appears.

In the window that opens, identify the plugins that have a higher value in the Load Duration column and, unless you need them 100%, disable them by selecting them with the mouse and clicking the button Deactivate.

Repeat this for all "slower" plug-ins and you end up with Internet Explorer much faster than before.
