It enables you to recover deleted files and deleted partitions, clone partitions, and much more. The free version (the one I used to write in this step) includes fewer features than the paid version, but it's still packed with cool features. It is for Windows only.

Disk Management (Windows)
Starting with Windows Vista, Microsoft has introduced a tool called Disk management, useful for all those who need to perform only the basic operations related to disk partitioning.
In fact, it is a utility built into the operating system that allows you to create, delete, resize and change the characteristics of partitions on the PC's hard drive. It only supports Windows file systems (FAT32 and NTFS), but it's really easy to use and it's entirely in Italian, which never hurts.
First, click on the Start button attached to the taskbar and type the term partitions in the appropriate search field, then select the result you see appear at the top.
Once the tool window appears on the desktop, select the volume you want to go to, right click on it and indicate the action you intend to take from the menu that opens.
If you wish, you can also intervene in the various existing partitions that you will find at the bottom of the window. Always select them by right clicking and indicate the operation you want to perform through the relative context menu.
Paragon Hard Disk Manager (Mac)
If, on the other hand, you have a Mac, one of the best programs to partition hard drives is Paragon Hard Disk Manager. It's a paid resource but possibly usable in a free trial version (the one I used to write in this step) that works without limitations for 10 days.
It's essentially the macOS version of the tool that I told you about at the beginning of the guide. It allows you to manage disks and SSDs in an advanced way, offering the possibility to perform partitions, boot corrections, file and image backups, copies, snapshots and much more.
To use it, connect to the Pargon Hard Disk Manager website and click on the item Download which is on the right and then press Download located at the bottom of the page, to start downloading it to your PC.
When the download is complete, open the package.dmg obtained, press agree and drag the application icon to the folder applications by macOS. Click on it and select open twice in a row, to open the program, however, bypassing Apple's limitations towards unauthorized developers.
Now that you see the Paragon Hard Disk Manager window on your desktop, press install to make sure that all the necessary components for the program to work are installed on the Mac. To complete the operation, the PC will restart.
Once you log back into your account, call Paragon Hard Disk Manager from Launchpad by clicking on its icon. Select the referenced disk or partition and choose the operation you want to perform using the items attached to the menu bar.
Disk Utility (Mac)
As an alternative to the other hard drive partitioning programs, if you have a Mac, you can also partition the hard drive and most of all use Disk utility, the disk and partition management application included "standard" on macOS.
It is practically the counterpart of the Apple side of the tool included in Windows for disk management (which I told you about in the previous lines).
To invoke Disk Utility, open the Launchpadopen the folder more it and select the utility icon located in the latter.
Once the Disk Utility window appears on the screen, to create a new volume in which to store your data, select the name of your Mac's hard drive (eg. Macintosh HD ) from the left sidebar and press the button partition located at the top.
So choose how to proceed: you can create a new volume formatted in APFS (Apple's newest file system) that shares the storage space with the primary disk partition or you can create real disk partition.
The other buttons always located at the top of the window allow you (if clickable) to initialize the chosen disk, restore it, activate or deactivate it and access the SOS tool to identify and resolve any error and, if present, repair it.
